For those of you that follow along for things to do in Sarasota, today’s post has a sprinkle of something special just for you! More than 1,800 vehicles, vintage 1986 and older, from all over Florida and neighboring states, were on display as Lakewood Ranch hosted the 45’th annual Devereaux~Kaiser Antique car Show. The largest of it’s kind in the state of Florida, the Sunshine Region AACA has held the Devereaux-Kaiser Car Meet for 44 years, and each year it has increased in size. Last year, there were a reported 2,000 plus collector cars entered, with an estimate of 13,000 to 15,000 spectators in attendance.
With an unexpectedly beautiful Sunday in the 60’s, we packed up Kringle and his puppy bag for a venture out in the sunshine, (which I usually avoid due to the heat induced chronic fatigue associated with MS). The day was ours, as was the attention of all the dog lovers around, with Kringle being doted on endlessly and compared to a cotton ball / teddy bear….we took turns mingling through the crowd and snapping some cute memories along the way. Thanks for stopping in! Enjoy!
