Pumpkin Season is upon us, the fall breeze has finally found its way to Florida just in time for the upcoming holidays. Locals plan their family weekends at Hunsader Farms throughout October and gear up for Thanksgiving by frequenting one of our many local farmers markets to take advantage of the seasonal offerings. Fresh brewed coffee, bread and candles scent the air with “home” as crowds peruse. Festivals, craft fairs, art and car shows aplenty frequent Main St. and Longboat Key’s St. Armands Circle boasting beautifully handcrafted wares. Fall in Florida is a mixed bag of Sunshine and wishes for temps forgiving enough to don the lightest of sweaters and boots. Even when it’s in the 70’s we jump at the chance to layer on the plaid or wrap up in a blanket kimono gulfside. Hailing from a southern state with a comparable 4 seasons to south Florida’s 1 1/2 has me “white girl” jumping for joy at the first long-awaited inkling of “nip” in the air. Lessons to be learned…light layers in rich earthy hues while pretending it’s Fall y’all . So go ahead and sip that PSL and get ready to decorate for the holidays!! See y’all a little latte’ with some exciting news!
